Today is day 1 of my 9 day detox programme. I first did it about a year ago and thought I'd give it another go. This time I'm going to blog daily about how I'm getting on.
Here is
some info on our fabulous all natural weight loss / detox plan:
Clean 9 is a 9 day plan where your body is cleansed of harmful chemicals and built up waste matter (unpleasant thought, but it’s not doing any good sitting there and you can lose several kilos just from shifting that build up).
The first 2 days require will power, but if you make sure you don't have too much to do and can grab an early night it's not so bad. You only have what’s provided in the pack, plus skimmed milk, (or almond, soy or rice milk) and no food for the first 2 days, however, you do have a thick nutritious, filling, vanilla or chocolate shake - so it’s not like you have nothing. The shake contains all the right balance of vitamins, minerals, carbs and proteins that you need to ensure that you are totally supported nutritionally throughout.
The initial ‘cleanse’ is a result of drinking a small amount of pure, high quality inner leaf Aloe vera gel drink 3 times per day, which again is packed with over 78 nutrients
naturally and allows the body to detoxify gently whilst cleaning your insides -
promoting a healthy gut and regulating / boosting your metabolism.
The Forever Lite Ultra shakes have been improved to include Aminotein .
Now with fewer carbohydrates and higher protein content, Forever Lite Ultra
with Aminotein contains 100% of the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for vitamins
and minerals, and are different to other shakes on the market as they have the
complete and total benefits of soy protein. Emerging science has revealed that
soy protein alone can provide some unique advantages over using the combination
of whey and soy. One of the best parts about soy protein is that
significant clinical research studies have found that it lowers cholesterol – and the
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has even approved this as an authorised
health claim. In fact, two shakes made with Forever Lite Ultra with Aminotein
provide you with 34 grams of protein from soy. And according to the FDA, “25g
of soy protein a day, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol,
may reduce the risk of heart disease.” That’s a win-win situation!
Soy protein also appears to support exercise performance, and because it is such a high quality protein, it satisfies the greater need athletes have for protein during
muscle-building. The other difference about Forever Lite Ultra wih Aminotein is that it has a unique blend of enzymes specifically designed to break down protein and to ensure proper digestion and optimal absorption of amino acids.
During the first 2 days of the Clean 9 programme, your body is forced to draw upon the stores of fat in your body for energy, thus resulting in weight loss and inch loss, but it doesn't eat into your muscle mass and you can still train as normal.
Days 3-9 are similar to days 1 and 2 but with the addition of a 600 calorie meal per day – which is actually quite a lot for one meal if you don't eat any 'junk'. You get a booklet
containing lots of recipe / meal suggestions and a calorie counter to make it
easy. Plus there is a Facebook website specifically for men who are doing the
detox which has recipes, tips and useful info.
The plan also contains 2 supplements to help you cope. ‘Garcinia’, which helps to quell the appetite and reduce cravings so that you don't feel like you need to snack or binge. I
genuinely didn't feel that hungry, although I did have a desire to chew food
but not actual hunger.
The other supplement is Bee Pollen which is a nutritional super food in itself boasting a mega dose of vitamins and minerals to give you a boost. Bee pollen has been nick named
'legal speed' due to its super energy giving qualities.
A minimum of 30 mins of exercise per day is recommended - after the first two days you will likely find you have more energy to actually train harder, but you may want to take it
easier on the initial 2 days if you normally exercise strenuously.
The plan enables you too safely lose around 3 to 7kg, although results vary from person to person, and you only lose what you have to lose, the toxins and excess etc.
It is endorsed by doctors as a sensible safe plan and is nutritionally sound thanks to it being developed by a nutritionalist.

You only get one body. Look after it. Forever
Well that's pretty much wrapped up day 1. No hunger pangs which is good news but probably had a touch of fluid retention. Peeing for England is an understatement. Note - if you are going to do this make sure you dont end up too far away from a loo!
ReplyDeleteEverything prepared for tomorrow - mustn't forget my aloe and shake in the fridge. I had the vanilla shake and it was lush :)
Next update tomorrow evening
Another day bites the dust - nearly - just got one more slug of aloe to go. Looking forward to my breakfast shake tomorrow. Feel great and told that I look great (can't see it myself - think they need glasses!!). I know that I have lost weight but I'm keeping the results secret until the morning of day 10.
ReplyDelete4 of 9 - that sounds kind of "Borg" - Day 4 of 9 of our detox commences - just about to hit they gym. Feeling awesome. I'm not giving anything away until day 10 but I stepped on the scales this morning and the results were......................truly amazing. Obviously I'm significantly skilled in toxing to be able to detox to such a degree!
ReplyDeleteAnother day bites the dust - tomorrow is half way. Grilled chicken on salad with spicy cous cous. D Lish - I'm loving this healthy food kick - I even love the aloe, makes you feel great and the increased amount seems to help my meds - noticably fewer off periods and they dont last as long when I get them. Business networking tomorrow - taking the C9 box along with me but full of bags of sugar to match the weight I've lost so far. Standby fellow networkers - you are going to be amazed!!
ReplyDeleteDetox Day 5. A bit of a breeze. Didn't feel hungry at all despite missing my lunch shake. On the home straight now. Feeling great. Will I hit my target? Watch this space. Day 10 all will be revealed.
ReplyDeleteD day 6. Brilliant. Full of energy. No daytime tiredness. Meds working better. 3 days to go. Loving simple food. Very pleased with results so far and a great kick start for my next target. Watch this space
ReplyDeleteDetox D8 commences and I'm absolutely loving the results. Bags of energy, clothes looser, meds working better! Win win
ReplyDeleteDetox D9 commences and its been a breeze. The effect so far is very visible - my belly is significantly flatter. Last day today. Full stats tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWell - you've all been waiting patiently but finally the detox results are in................
ReplyDeletea) I feel fantastic both physically and mentally
b) I'm loving simple unprocessed food - went out for a charity curry last night and had CTM without the sauce and salad instead of a bhaji and rice.
c) Visible changes - well two notches on the belt in 9 days is really pleasing and very noticable
d) I've kept this until last as the weight loss is really a side effect. Go into your local supermarket with a hand basket and load in 6 standard bags of sugar - that's what I was permanently carrying 10 days ago. Just walk around for a bit and see how long it takes for your arm and hand to start hurting.
And finally a big apology to my body - I'm sorry it's taken so long to realise what a strain I've been putting you under. I'm doing something about it.
